Welcome:
Spotlight
Happy Christmas to all our audiences and supporters. It has
been a very strong year for Vivid Theatre Company and we
wish to thank everyone who has either come along to a production
or hired us for educational/corporate work.
The year began with the Arts Council funded ‘Sexual
Perversity in Chicago’ (‘an outstandingly absorbing
and committed piece of theatre’ Newcastle University)
before Vivid revived their 2007 production of ‘The
Collector’ which played to five-star reviews at the
Edinburgh Fringe (‘Vivid theatre indeed’ Edinburghguide).
Autumn 2009 saw Vivid work in conjunction with Newcastle
University’s Centre for Behaviour and Evolution to
produce a north east tour of ‘After Darwin’ for
the 2009 Darwin Festival. The final show was ‘The Revenger’s
Tragedy’ which played to strong houses and, like all
Vivid productions, was supported by a strong educational
programme. Members of Vivid have also worked at International
drama festivals around Europe and the artistic director ran
workshops as the Central European Drama Conference in Slovakia.
We hope you continue to support us in 2010 with our first
production, a new translation of Gogol’s classic ‘The
Government Inspector.'
Thank you for all your support. Happy Christmas and happy
new year.
